Fighting for Survival: the Westfair Strike of 1987
In-PersonFighting for Survival: the Westfair Strike of 1987 is a program offered in collaboration with the Oral History Centre at the University of Winnipeg that explores the Superstore strike that went from the summer into the fall of 1987. The strike was the largest retail strike in Manitoba history with stores and communities across the province being affected. Researcher Scott Price will cover the history of the event through stories of the strike documented in interviews with people involved in the strike.
