Who Lived There? A Peek Into the Maple Leaf Apartments

In-Person

Local author and teacher Shelley McQueen began researching Winnipeg's Maple Leaf Apartments on Corydon Avenue while digging into her family history. Her research led to a peek into human history with snapshots of not only her own family, but also of the Maple Leaf Apartments residents from 1915-2000. Learn how she researched the building, about 20 former residents, and about the local history resources to do your own family research. For more information about genealogy and local history, please visit the library's Local History and Genealogy Resources Info Guide. Shelley McQueen taught and tutored math for more than 15 years. She recently published Who Lived in the Maple Leaf Apartments?, an archival record of the residents of this historic building.
