Osborne Seed Library

Attention seed Savers! Don't forget to save some seeds from your healthiest and most vigorous plants for our library. The Seed Library will be open for drop-offs November 1-30. Seeds are to be: Dry and no more than two years old; Heirloom/heritage or organic (no hybrids please); From fruits, vegetables, flowers, and herbs. Pick up envelopes from Osborne Library or use your own. Learn more on the Osborne Library page at winnipeg.ca/library. The Seed Library operates in partnership with The People Garden of Sustainable South Osborne.

Programs and events at Winnipeg Public Library are always free.

Public Program Registration Guidelines

  • An email address is required to register for all programs. If you do not have an email address, register by calling or visiting any Library branch.
  • Duplicate registrations for the same name will be cancelled.
  • The Library reserves the right to limit the number of program attendees.
  • Family programs including Baby Rhyme Time, Toddler Time, Family Story Time, and 3-5 with a caregiver programs are an opportunity for caregivers to participate together with their child in the program.
  • School age programs are for children ages 6-8, 6-12, or 9-12. Children attend on their own unless otherwise indicated. Teen programs are for Grades 7-12.
  • Programs with children ages 11 and younger require a caregiver to remain in the library during the program. In the absence of a caregiver, the Library does not assume responsibility for a child.
  • Children are not supervised by library staff outside of the program space (e.g. washroom breaks or leaving the program early exit from the program).
  • Children of all abilities are welcome to attend Library programs. If the child requires the support of a caregiver to participate in a program, please speak with staff.
  • Online library programs use Zoom. Please familiarize yourself with Zoom before the program.
