Spirit and Intent of the Treaties
In-PersonElder Harry Bone has worked tirelessly and quietly throughout his life to bolster Indigenous rights. Elder Bone will discuss the original spirit and intent of Treaties which involves understanding the agreements as negotiated, rather than how Treaties have been reinterpreted long after the fact. He is a member of Keeseekoowenin Ojibway Nation where he served as a Chief and Director of Education. Offered in partnership with the Treaty Relations Commission of Manitoba.
