Practice your English skills and meet new friends in our online class! Classes are small and you will learn while having fun. This session runs for 6 classes (Monday and Wednesday) starting November 30 through to December 16 from 10 - 11 am. For EAL learners who can speak English in short sentences (CLB 4+). Please attend all 6 classes.

Your library host is Chris and your class leader is Laura. Email claurie@winnipeg.ca if you have any questions. All classes will be through Zoom. You will be emailed the Zoom link to attend. Learn more about Zoom at zoom.us

Programs and events at Winnipeg Public Library are always free.

Public Program Registration Guidelines

  • An email address is required to register for all programs. If you do not have an email address, register by calling or visiting any Library branch.
  • Duplicate registrations for the same name will be cancelled.
  • The Library reserves the right to limit the number of program attendees.
  • Family programs including Baby Rhyme Time, Toddler Time, Family Story Time, and 3-5 with a caregiver programs are an opportunity for caregivers to participate together with their child in the program.
  • School age programs are for children ages 6-8, 6-12, or 9-12. Children attend on their own unless otherwise indicated. Teen programs are for Grades 7-12.
  • Programs with children ages 11 and younger require a caregiver to remain in the library during the program. In the absence of a caregiver, the Library does not assume responsibility for a child.
  • Children are not supervised by library staff outside of the program space (e.g. washroom breaks or leaving the program early exit from the program).
  • Children of all abilities are welcome to attend Library programs. If the child requires the support of a caregiver to participate in a program, please speak with staff.
  • Online library programs use Zoom. Please familiarize yourself with Zoom before the program.
