Perspectives Online Book Club: Little Fish by Casey Plett

This book club is online using Zoom. A link to the meeting will be sent after registering. Read and discuss diverse books from authors who write about life experiences similar to their own. Each month brings a new perspective on topics such as genders, abilities, cultures and more. Register for each month's title separately. Space is limited. English learners: CLB 8+ is best to take part.

This month's title is Little Fish by Casey Plett. Wendy Reimer, a young trans woman, is shocked to find out that her late grandfather, a Mennonite farmer, may also have been transgender. Download the eBook through the Library's OverDrive service, or place a request for a print copy through our online catalogue. Questions? Public Program Registration Guidelines

  • An email address is required to register for all programs. If you do not have an email address, register by calling or visiting any Library branch.
  • Duplicate registrations for the same name will be cancelled.
  • The Library reserves the right to limit the number of program attendees.
  • Family programs including Baby Rhyme Time, Toddler Time, Family Story Time, and 3-5 with a caregiver programs are an opportunity for caregivers to participate together with their child in the program.
  • School age programs are for children ages 6-8, 6-12, or 9-12. Children attend on their own unless otherwise indicated. Teen programs are for ages 13-17.
  • Programs with children ages 11 and younger require a caregiver to remain in the library during the program. In the absence of a caregiver, the Library does not assume responsibility for a child.
  • Children are not supervised by library staff outside of the program space (e.g. washroom breaks or leaving the program early exit from the program).
  • Children of all abilities are welcome to attend Library programs. If the child requires the support of a caregiver to participate in a program, please speak with staff.
  • Online library programs use Zoom. Please familiarize yourself with Zoom before the program.
