A Walking Tour of Bruce Park

Join a guided walking tour of beautiful Bruce Park, located on the banks of Truro Creek. Learn about the park's origins, monuments, and significance as an area that provided inspiration to Group of Seven artist Lionel LeMoine FitzGerald. The walk begins at the library, concludes in Bruce Park, and is delivered by interpreters from the Historical Museum of St. James-Assiniboia. The walk was originally scheduled for Tuesday, July 19th but due to rain, will now take place on Tuesday, July 26th.

Public Program Registration Guidelines

  • An email address is required to register for all programs. If you do not have an email address, register by calling or visiting any Library branch.
  • Duplicate registrations for the same name will be cancelled.
  • The Library reserves the right to limit the number of program attendees.
  • Family programs including Baby Rhyme Time, Toddler Time, Family Story Time, and 3-5 with a caregiver programs are an opportunity for caregivers to participate together with their child in the program.
  • School age programs are for children ages 6-8, 6-12, or 9-12. Children attend on their own unless otherwise indicated. Teen programs are for Grades 7-12.
  • Programs with children ages 11 and younger require a caregiver to remain in the library during the program. In the absence of a caregiver, the Library does not assume responsibility for a child.
  • Children are not supervised by library staff outside of the program space (e.g. washroom breaks or leaving the program early exit from the program).
  • Children of all abilities are welcome to attend Library programs. If the child requires the support of a caregiver to participate in a program, please speak with staff.
  • Online library programs use Zoom. Please familiarize yourself with Zoom before the program.
