Defining Sexual Misconduct: Power, Media, and #MeToo

Online

Defining Sexual Misconduct: Power, Media, and #MeToo with Dr. Stacey Hannem, Department of Criminology at Wilfrid Laurier University and Dr. Christopher Schneider, Department of Sociology at Brandon University. Their book is available through our catalogue.

There has been a shift in media coverage of sexual violence, reflective of significant changes in public discourse about sexual harm. This talk will discuss how these changes have helped to hold some perpetrators accountable for their behaviour and paved the path for #MeToo.
