A 6-week course of Ojibwe language instruction at the beginner level is offered with instructor Agnes Catcheway in partnership with Indigenous Languages of Manitoba.

Public Program Registration Guidelines

  • An email address is required to register for all programs. If you do not have an email address, register by calling or visiting any Library branch.
  • The Library reserves the right to limit the number of program attendees.
  • Programs for young children and families are an opportunity for caregivers to participate together with their child in the program.
  • Children of all abilities are welcome to attend Library programs. If the child requires the support of a caregiver to participate in a program, please speak with staff.
  • School age programs are for children ages 6-12. Children attend on their own unless otherwise indicated. Tween programs are for children ages 9-12. Teen programs are for Grades 7-12.
  • Programs with children ages 11 and younger require a caregiver to remain in the library during the program. In the absence of a caregiver, the Library does not assume responsibility for a child.
  • Children are not supervised by library staff outside of the program space (e.g. washroom breaks or leaving the program early exit from the program).
  • Online library programs use Zoom. Please familiarize yourself with Zoom before the program.
