Writer-in-Residence Nora Decter - submissions start

The Writer-in-Residence (WiR) program is once again on offer for consultations from October 2024 through April 2025 to new and emerging writers of all genres. This year's WiR is Nora Decter. Nora is the author of the YA novel How Far We Go and How Fast, winner of the 2019 Kobo Emerging Writer Prize in literary fiction and What’s Not Mine is her debut adult novel.

Works for review by the WiR can be submitted starting October 1. She will then contact writers with her feedback and to meet, if desired. The program is open to Manitobans only. Visit winnipeg.ca/writerinresidence for how to submit to the Writer-in-Residence and watch for upcoming writing workshops this winter.
