Winnipeg's Early History: From Birth to the Boom Decade - Part 1

In-Person / Online

In this two-part series, historian and Heritage Winnipeg’s President Greg Agnew will discuss the early history of the City of Winnipeg. In part 1, learn about the early years when Winnipeg transformed itself from a settlement into a full-fledged city in the 1870s.

Join us for part 2 to hear about the challenges faced in the 1880s, as the city entered its "boom decade" and saw unprecedented growth in size and population.

As the current President of Heritage Winnipeg, Greg Agnew has spent the past two decades making presentations, advocating to save heritage at risk, volunteering behind the scenes, and guiding tours for Heritage Winnipeg’s Door's Open Winnipeg.
